Our club motto reflects our dedication to empowering students to think ambitiously and gain the skills necessary for success in the evolving aerospace sector.

Establishment

In April 2023, Professor Emeritus Mauro Pierucci, who taught aerospace engineering at SDSU from 1979 to 2011, provided funding to establish the SDSU Space Club, aiming to inspire students to engage in space exploration and innovation.

Mission

The club's goal is to connect all students interested in space and help bring their ideas to reality, fostering collaboration across various disciplines.

Our Motto

"The future begins with you" reflects the club's dedication to empowering students to think ambitiously and gain the skills necessary for success in the evolving aerospace sector.

A student-led project to design, build, and launch a high-altitude balloon equipped with cameras and sensors to capture images from near space and collect valuable atmospheric data.
